Kama‘aina Christmas: Joy

Saturday, Dec 8, 6-11pm

The 27th annual Kama‘aina Christmas is the museum's premier fundraising event. Chaired by Michelle Ho and Kelly Sueda this year, Kama‘aina Christmas promises to living up to its theme—joy.

The silent auction
The Kama‘aina Christmas silent auction has always been art-filled, and this year one highlight is an iconic—and recently conserved—D. Howard Hitchcock beachscape that will be a prized addition to someone’s collection.

The silent auction also focuses on one-of-a-kind experiences: dining, art and museum exclusives, as well as irresistible travel packages. For example, our New York City Escape features roundtrip first class airfare for two on Hawaiian Airlines, three nights at The Pierre Hotel courtesy of TAJ Hotel Resorts and Palaces, and, of course, private tours with leading curators at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Wish Tree
The museum’s Wish Tree is being expanded to allow more guests to experience the joy of giving to the Museum in a personal way.

New: Wine Sale
The year, Kama‘aina Christmas also offers a drink-it-now wine sale, allowing guests to purchase premium donated wines prior to the dinner service. Purchased wines can then be sent to the table. Or, if you prefer, we'll wrap it up for you to take home. Winemakers include Marcassin, Caymus, Krug, Colgin, and Bryant Family.

Proceeds from Kama‘aina Christmas support the general operating budget and help fund educational programs for children and adults, conservation work and special exhibitions.
