Walker Art Center's Internet Cat Video Festival

Sep 7-12, 2013

Minneapolis’s Walker Art Center launched the first Internet Cat Video Festival in 2012 as a modest celebration to bring online communities together in the real world. #catvidfest is now an international viral phenomenon. Special thanks to Scott Stulen and the Walker Art Center. See the schedule and purchase tickets online.

Cat Costume Contest
Opening night, Sep 7: Come dressed as your favorite feline—whether it’s your own furball or an Internet celebri-cat, such as Grumpy Cat, who won gold at the Walker Art Center. We'll pick the winner at the screening—the most PAWsome costume wins two film tickets and a #catvidfest poster.

Instagram Cat Video Contest, Sep 7-12
Show off your kitty’s antics by uploading the cutest, wackiest or funniest videos to your Instagram account and tagging #catvidfestHI for a chance to win a Basic museum membership ($25 value). The winner will enjoy a year of free admission to the museums, ARTafterDARK events and discounts at the Doris Duke Theatre.

Special guest: Cat ambassador Mister Peabody, a seal point Siamese, will be in attendance on Thursday, Sept. 12, 7:30pm, with his human, Ken Cribbs.
