One of the nation’s premier environmental and adventure film festivals is coming to Honolulu. The stellar filmmaking, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling inform, inspire, and ignite solutions to restore the earth while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect to see award-winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy, climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, agriculture, and Native American and indigenous cultures.
Knowledge in Motion, a Hawai‘i-based community awareness and outreach organization, brings the festival here with the aim of helping communities come together and to promote the concepts of mālama and aloha ʻāina. Its goal is to use film to inspire activism.
This year’s festival is dedicated to supporting the creation of a healthy lunch program for Hālau Kū Mana.
