Picturing Hawai'i is an exciting new curriculum from the Honolulu Museum of Art. The comprehensive Teacher Resource Book and the accompanying six images show you how to use works from the Museum's collection to supplement your lessons in history, fine arts, language arts, math, and science. The curriculum is adaptable to many grade levels and is a localization of the National Endowment for the Humanities Picturing America project. Learn more about Picturing America here.
Request a copy of Picturing Hawai'i
All of the Picturing Hawai'i materials are available for download on this site. Additionally, thanks to a grant from the Hawai'i Council for the Humanities, we have printed materials that we can send to your school. These materials include the Teacher Resource Book published as a booklet on high quality paper and laminated copies of the six images. The lamination ensures that your copies will last longer in the classroom as your students use them for their assignments.
