The Pastel Artists of Hawai‘i (PAH) hosts its annual Open show, with juror Mark Norseth, artist as well as a drawing and painting instructor at the Honolulu Museum of Art School. To help promote the advancement and appreciation of soft pastel painting, this Open Show encourages pastel artists in their artistic growth. Alongside this exhibition, PAH provides educational activities through exhibits, workshops, and seminars and to promote public awareness about pastels.

Reception: Thursday, November 2 • 4–6pm

Exhibition hours: Weekdays • 8am–6pm

About Pastel Artists of Hawai‘i: The Pastel Artists of Hawai‘i is a 501c3 organization that is dedicated to giving artists interested in soft pastel the opportunity to learn, exhibit and share their passion with each other and the public. They hold a membership exhibit each Spring that allows each member to have their work seen and a juried exhibit in the Fall, in conjunction with a 4-day workshop by a nationally-recognized artist. Throughout the year, they hold challenges aimed at moving them out of their comfort zone as well as small 1 or 2 day workshops with local artists.

Pastel Demonstration Schedule: Throughout the duration of the exhibition, members of Pastel Artists of Hawai‘i will be in our Mezzanine Gallery demonstrating various techniques in the art of soft pastel from 11:30am–1:30pm.
