Celebrate the diversity of Hawai‘i's art and culture with the exhibition Artists of Hawai‘i, art activities and a lineup of great local entertainment.
Central Courtyard Stage
11am-noon: Musical Mixed Plate with The Chuck James Music Studio showcasing music students on drums, guitar, keyboard bass, ukulele, violin, flute, sax, trumpet and bass.
Noon-1pm: Jugglers trade balls and bowling pins for plates, fruits and vegetables—it's a fun way to emphasize the importance of a balanced diet.
1-2pm: Celtic Keiki provide rock and roll through the ages with music and interactive dance routines.
2-3pm: Round out the day with relaxing keiki yoga
11am-3pm: Build a plate-lunch robot with Styrofoam food containers (take a look at Maika‘i Tubbs' Styrofoam sculpture in Artists of Hawai‘i for inspiration). In Banyan Courtyard.
11am - 3pm: Dress up as crazy characters and choose your props for a mixed-up photoshoot by Photo Ops Hawaii. One free photo per shoot. In the Education Lecture Hall.
Family Film Sunday
A World of Animation from the Children's Film Festival Seattle 2011
Kids and adults alike will be wowed by this collection of animated films from around the world. 11:10am & 1pm
$3 adults, $1 children 13 and under
Whole Foods will have vegetarian and turkey hoagies, garlicky kale salad, cookies, water and natural sodas for purchase.

11am: Choose from a variety of Honolulu Academy of Arts publications as your free gift for the day. Available until the last book is given out.
Congratulations to last month's contest winner, 8-year-old Chloe Boss. Contestants were instructed to draw at least three of their favorite pieces in the Artists of Hawai‘i exhibition. See if you can find the artwork that inspired Chloe!
Kids age 1 to 17 can enter the monthly drawing contest. The Academy gives contestants a theme and drawing supplies. The winner receives a Family Level membership to the Honolulu Academy of Arts (worth $95), and his or her artwork is used to create the following month’s event brochure and is posted on the Academy website.
