Fallen Fruit: Fruit Meditation FULLY BOOKED

Date:

June 28, 2012 01:00pm-03:00pm

Location:

Spalding House

Event Information:

Spalding House takes part in the three-day arts festival Find Art: Celebrating Community + Creativity by hosting the Los Angeles–based artist collective Fallen Fruit. This offbeat group gets people to think about fruit in new ways, and explore how fruit relates to their lives.

At Spalding House they will lead a Public Fruit Meditation—which involves a watermelon and a hammer! Find Art sponsor Whole Foods Kahala is donating 1,000 pounds of fruit to Fallen Fruit for their use while in Honolulu.

This event is limited to 20 participants. To reserve a space, interested participants must e-mail apadilla@honolulumuseum.org no later than June 26, 2012. Museum goers are welcome to observe the meditation.

Event is free for participants.

June 25 NOTE: The 20 participant spots for the Fruit Meditation are booked. The museum still welcomes the public to watch the interactive art event.
