Presented by Roshan Cultural Heritage Institute, supporting preservation, transmission and instruction of Persian language and culture.
Groove to house music of DJ Mr. Nick in Luce Pavilion, and traditional Persian music in the special Noruz Lounge.
Hear Roshan Institute Instructor in Persian Language and Culture Dr. Ladan Hamedani read Persian poetry.
Create your own hand-painted paper maché eggs with local artists Ryan and Nicole Higa.
Explore the Haftsin table display and learn the importance of these cultural items.
Take an interactive look at Persian art with our docents in the Arts of the Islamic World gallery.
Food and Drink
Feast like a Persian king on the Grove's special menu: lamb and chickpea stew, dolmeh (rice-and-beef-stuffed grape leaves) and kookoo sabzi (spinach and herb omelet).
Just a reminder—ARTafterDARKers can park in the following locations:
1) FREE: Street parking on Beretania and Kinau Street from 6pm.
2) $5: Up to five hours, $2 for each additional 30 minutes or fraction thereof. The lot behind the Honolulu Museum of Art School (1111 Victoria St.), entrances on Beretania and Young streets. NOTE: lot closes promptly at 11pm.
3) $5 at the First United Methodist Church Parking Lot on the corner of Beretania and Victoria streets. NOTE: lot closes promptly at 10pm.
