Plastic Fantastic? Beach Cleanup
April 24, 2016 09:30am-12:00pm
Part of programming related to Plastic Fantistic? (on view until July 10 at Spalding House)
The Honolulu Museum of Art and Kōkua Hawai‘i Foundation and its Plastic Free Hawai‘i Program invite the public to help clean up Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park. This busy urban beach gets its fair share of plastic waste—it needs a lot of help. Plastic collected at the cleanup will be used in a public art installation in September.
Participants should bring a reusable water bottle, hat and sunscreen. Refreshments will be served at the end of the cleanup.
Check-in starts at 9:30am at Picnic Site 30.
