'Art Deco Hawai‘i' information

See the exhibition, experience the event—1920s Honolulu. Presented by Kona Brewing Company.

Guests are encouraged to dress deco! Flapper gowns and vintage Aloha shirts are more than welcome.


• Hear slack-key guitarist Jay Koseki.
• Enjoy an upbeat ‘ukulele performance by Landon Mattox and his students.
• It's a hot Hawaiian night with DJ Dana Kruse's live mixes.
• See dance troupe Tahiti Mana perform and learn to fa'arapu.


• Explore Art Deco Hawai'i
• Take a deeper look at the six Eugene Savage murals and pick your favorite flowers with our docents and their Question Art activity.
• Be the first to see Land Division: An Installation by Sean Connelly, about watersheds and urban development in Hawai‘i.
• Create your own Art Deco Hawai‘i by decorating "Wish You Were Here" postcards.


Enjoy creative dishes and cocktails by The Grove.

• Beef Poke Bowl Grass-fed seared strip loin, tossed in togarashi-and-cane sugar seasoning, with Hau‘ula grape tomatoes, sea asparagus, Maui onions, and poke sauce on white or brown rice
• Mini Lau Lau with Lomi Tomatoes and Rice
• Fish Musubi: Seared fresh island mahi mahi wrapped in nori with tobiko aioli and kaiware sprouts
• Poi Garden Salad: Hau‘ula tomatoes, Ewa sweet corn, edemame, Okinawan sweet potato, bell peppers, and Manoa lettuce tossed in liliko‘i vinaigrette atop spiced poi smear and garnished with goat cheese



ARTafterDARKers can park in the following locations:

• Street parking on Beretania and Kinau Street from 6pm. FREE

• Lot behind the Honolulu Museum of Art School (1111 Victoria St.), entrances on Beretania and Young streets. 
$5 for up to five hours, $2 for each additional 30 minutes or fraction thereof. 
NOTE: lot closes promptly at 11pm.
