After seeing Yun-Fei Ji: The Intimate Universe, kids can create art that connects their daily lives with galaxies far, far away—where there's circus fun and a city of LEGO® masterpeices.

Entertainment and art activities end at 3pm.

• Create a colorful landscape: Be inspired by the large landscape scrolls seen in Yun-Fei Ji: The Intimate Universe, then make your own using watercolors. They can depict a faraway place or your own backyard. Put your mark on your work of art by stamping your initials.

• Make a mini universe: Kids will use different colored sand, rocks, and soil to create a terrarium. Add a model animal and a plant to make the mini ecosystem come to life.

• Drawing contest: Kids under 17 are encouraged to enter! The museum gives contestants drawing supplies and an upcoming theme—next month's is Solstice Celebrations. The winner receives a Supporting Membership to the Honolulu Museum of Art ($100 value), and his or her artwork is used to create the following month’s event brochure and is posted on the museum's website.

Hit the big top with Circus Olina: Ever thought about joining the circus? Here’s your chance! Watch as a unicycler makes her way around the museum’s courtyards and try different activities like the balance beam, juggling, spinning plates, and hula hoops. Finish the afternoon with an entertaining magic show that will leave you oohing and aahing.

Survey LEAHI's LEGO® structures: Check out the amazing LEGO® displays by the LEAHI (LEGO® Enthusiasts Association of Hawaii) group. Ask them questions about their creations and then build something of your own.
