Celebrate the end of the year with a mixed bag of holiday-themed activities.

Entertainment and art activities end at 3pm.

• Satisfy your sweet tooth: Get into the holiday spirit by decorating cookies. Add color to your star-shaped cookies with bright frostings and sweet decorations.

• Celebrate Pasko: Join members from the Filipino Association of University Women (FAUW) and learn about the Filipino cultural celebration Pasko. FAUW members will help kids make large and miniature parols, star-shaped Christmas lanterns, out of bamboo and recycled materials.

• Make a solstice globe: Kids will use holiday decorations to fill the inside of clear ornaments.

• Drawing contest: Kids under 17 are encouraged to enter! The museum gives contestants drawing supplies and an upcoming theme—next month's is Bollywood. The winner receives a Supporting Membership to the Honolulu Museum of Art ($100 value), and his or her artwork is used to create the following month’s event brochure and is posted on the museum's website.

• O‘ahu Civic Orchestra: Hear and feel the joy as this local orchestra of string, brass, and percussion musicians fills the museum's halls—and your heart—with rousing holiday favorites.

• Mango Season: Join the singer-songwriters from Mango Season. Their music is guaranteed to leave you feeling ridiculously happy.
