Hugo De Ana’s larger-than-life production of Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata is “compelling...a triumph,” (The Opera Critic) when it fills the stage at the Arena di Verona, Italy. Albanian lyric soprano Ermonela Jaho, hailed as a “revelation” in the role of Violetta, is paired with Sardinian tenor Francesco Demuro as her impassioned lover, Alfredo.

Baritone Jordan Shanahan, a recent graduate of the Ryan Opera Center at Lyric Opera of Chicago, will introduce the screening at 6pm.

Please note: La Cenerentola: A Fairytale from Torino has been postponed to Dec. 16. it is not screening on Sept. 23, as indicated in the museum's members' magazine.
