About the Film:

Innersection: Black
Directed by Nathan Myers, Calvin Knowlton, Saul Garcia, Ben Gulliver, Damien Robertson, Adam Chilton, Adam DeWolfe, Joao Rito, Nat Lanyon, Jay Button, Dan Norkunas, Zachary Hill, Toby Cregan. USA. 2013. 45 mins

Masterminded by genre-defining filmmaker Taylor Steele and Surfing Magazine editor Nathan Myers, Innersection is the world’s original open-source freesurfing competition. The 13 all-new sections that form Innersection: Black were each produced by the surfers themselves, then selected from hundreds of online submissions to be reimagined for this final cut. See progressive surfers charging the globe from tropical paradises to frigid Canadian reefs, with highlights in Portugal, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Australia, and Hawai‘i. Innersection is pure surfing: surfer-created, viewer-selected, and ocean-inspired.

Se7en Signs
Directed by Nathan Myers. USA. 2013. 45 mins.

Six countries. Six filmmakers. One journey. Se7en Signs is the new surf travel epic from director Nathan Myers and executive producer Taylor Steele. For this project, an online audience picked their favorite six filmmakers from the Innersection series and each one was sent in a different direction to film their part of Se7en Signs. But instead of making six short films, director Nathan Myers (Here & Now, Castles in the Sky) creatively curated each of the filmmakers’ edits into a single, rollicking, surprise-filled adventure.
