About the Film:

Part of the Honolulu African American Film Festival: Black History Month.

Directed by Kate Novack. 2018. USA. 94 min.
From the segregated American South to the fashion capitals of the world, operatic former Vogue editor-at-large André Leon Talley's life and career are on full display in this poignant portrait that includes appearances by Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Bethann Hardison, Valentino, and Manolo Blahnik. It’s a loving look at an outsize personality and intellect who went from being raised by a grandmother in North Carolina to becoming the fashion world’s first African American tastemaker.

Opening red-carpet event: Feb 3 at 6:30pm
