About the Performance:
Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Hot Club of Hulaville and world-famous gypsy jazz band the John Jorgenson Quintet play three concerts in a two-day gypsy jazz extravaganza with carnival entertainment, palm reading and crêpes from Le Crêpe Café.
John Jorgenson is a founding member of the Desert Rose Band and the Hellecasters, and a six-year member of Elton John’s band. He played Django Reinhardt in the 2004 Charlize Theron film Head in the Clouds.

Aug 18 at 4pm: The Hot Club of Hulaville; $35, $30 museum members; includes entry to post-concert carnival
Aug 18 6-7:30pm: Gypsy Jazz Carnival: enjoy entertainment, and crêpes, wine and beer for purchase in the Luce Courtyard before the 7:30pm show.

Included with Saturday’s carnival is an open Gypsy Jazz Workshop conducted by members of the Hot Club of Hulaville. Guitarists, violinists and aspiring jazzers—bring your axes! The workshop is free with concert admission.
