About the Performance:
Trumpet player extraordinaire DeShannon Higa is considered by many to be one of the best new jazz players in town. A former New York musician, he has played at Carnegie Hall, Birdland and Radio City Music Hall. What sets his Subtonic Orchestra apart from the rest is the vast range and flexibility of the ensemble. Firmly rooted in jazz but blending elements of electronica and even hip-hop, Deshannon brings his own unique vision to the stage.
Hosted by HPR's Don Gordon.
