Museum members: $40.00
General Admission: $45.00
About the Performance:
Armed with her latest album No Fairy Tale, Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb comes to the Doris Duke Theatre with her unique style for a one night only performance. Loeb started her career with the platinum-selling Number 1 hit song Stay (I Missed You) from the film Reality Bites. To this day, she is still the only artist to have a Number 1 single while not signed to a recording contract, a remarkable and unparalleled feat for an unsigned artist, though perhaps not a surprising one for the Brown grad girl with the cat-eye glasses, who at the time was already making her mark in New York’s burgeoning singer-songwriter scene.
Opening for Lisa Loeb is ‘ukulele wunderkind 2.0 Aidan James. A video of him at age eight playing Train's Hey Soul Sister went viral. Now at the age of 12 he's a veteran skilled musician who has played Hawaii Five-0 premieres and is opening for international pop stars! Here's his latest video.
Don't miss the special 20th Anniversary screening of Reality Bites, introduced by Lisa Loeb on July 9 at 7:30pm.
