About the Performance:

Sponsored by The Pōpolo Project

Join us for a live reading by Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors from her newly released book When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir. The reading will be followed by an audience Q&A moderated by Prentis Hemphill, former director of Healing Justice at Black Lives Matter. When They Call You a Terrorist is a timely work in an era of #MeToo, indigenous land struggles, #NeverAgain, and Black Lives Matter. Patrisse Cullors’s story, co-authored with Aasha Bandele, asks readers to remember that protest in the interest of the most vulnerable comes from love.

Books will be available for purchase, and book signing will take place after the event.
