Book Club: The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova
Saturday Apr 26 01:00 PM Wednesday Apr 30 01:00 PM
Honolulu Museum of Art
In 1999, a man walks into the National Gallery and stabs a painting of Leda and the Swan, declaring that he did it for her. The story moves forward alternating between letters written by a young woman, an aspiring artist, and 1895 France–the time of French Impressionist art. Led by docent Cathy Levinson.
The museum's Book Club tour is a two-hour docent-led experience. Books are selected to connect with the museum’s works of art. Participants discuss the book in a relevant gallery.
Free with museum admission.
