Explore watercolor, beginning with the basics, including instruction in watercolor’s relationship to drawing. Then move on to painting still-life arrangements, and, finally, sessions with a live model. Each session builds upon the previous week’s instruction. Lessons and demonstrations are supported by visits to the museum to view exhibitions and the permanent collection.

All materials are included with tuition.

Registration for this class closes on December 28.

Art for Life classes are tailored for 55+ adults and strive to unleash your creativity and self-expression while building a sense of community.  The two-hour classes are led by a talented HoMA teaching artist. After each class, you have the option of staying in the classroom for a one-hour open studio monitored by a teaching assistant. Each class is an opportunity for self-directed learning and social interaction and culminates in an exhibition at the Art School to celebrate your work. A complimentary parking pass is included with Art for Life classes.
