Explore the essential elements of art related to drawing human figures in pictorial space. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the body’s underlying anatomical structure while exploring form, volume, movement, proportion, perspective, and light notation while drawing from a live model. Processes taught include gesture, contour line, and full-value drawing. Includes visits to the museum’s galleries, where works from the permanent collection will provide inspiration, supplement our in-class demonstrations, and support your growth throughout the course. All levels of experience are welcome.

Registration for this class closes on December 27.
