The Hawai‘i Filmmakers Collective’s 3rd Annual 72-Hour Film Challenge takes place Labor Day weekend. This fast-paced event challenges Hawai‘i-based filmmakers to create a short film in just 72 hours. Guest judges include industry professionals working in areas such as production, casting, and cinematography. Entry requirements (theme, props, and dialogue) will be announced on August 30 at 4pm, and filmmakers will have until September 2 at 4pm to submit their films.

Catch the completed films at the Doris Duke Theatre on Saturday, September 14. It’ll be an exciting night filled with surprisingly well-made films and an audience award that attendees vote for on the spot. Get your tickets early, as this event has always sold out!
