Learn about new media art and enjoy activities inspired by Lisa Reihana: Emissaries

Activities end at 2pm, but the museum remains open free of charge until 4:30pm.

ART ACTIVITIES

Point of View: View Lisa Reihana’s In Pursuit of Venus and rearrange magnets on the interactive wall inside the Arts of Hawai‘i gallery Then make your own magnet inspired by the contemporary Hawaiian landscape.

• Koru Designs: Kids can learn about the Māori Koru symbol and create wearable art.

ENTERTAINMENT

10am-2pm: Learn about digital technologies and coding with members of Twiddle Productions.

11:15-11:45am: Enjoy music by the talented young musicians of Hawaii Youth Symphony.

FAMILY FILM SUNDAY

The CAFF Spring Rewind—March 2019: 10:30am. Free. As we gear up for the 2019 Cultural Animation Film Festival (CAFF) in May, see a selection of previously screened shorts that celebrate cultures from around the world!

SUNDAY BRUNCH

Enjoy our full-service Sunday brunch menu at the Café from 11am-2pm. Reservations are recommended.

DOUBLE THE FUN  

Take a shuttle bus to the museum’s free Family Sunday at Spalding House in Makiki Heights for more Family Sunday art and fun.

DRAWING CONTEST

The winner receives a Supporting Membership to the Honolulu Museum of Art ($120 value), and his or her artwork is posted on the museum's website and used to create the following month’s event brochure.
