About the Film:

Part of Korean Cinema • 한국 영화제

Directed by Jeon Go-Woon. South Korea. 2017. Korean with English subtitles. Starring Lee Som, Ahn Jae-hong, and Choi Deok-moon.

Lee Som (also known as Esom) stars as Miso, who lives from day to day as a housekeeper and with the help of cigarettes and whiskey. When the government doubles the price of cigarettes, Miso decides to give up her house instead. She enlists friends to provide her with spare rooms to sleep and visits her dearest friends and ex-band members, whom she hasn’t seen for a long time. They realize that Miso has retained her free spirit, which she uses to survive being house-less. This original first feature balances humor and pathos as it transforms quotidian surroundings into a magical space.
