About this Class:

Reem Bassous’ five-day workshop will tackle different methods of starting an image. From studying the geometry in Old Master paintings to tackling contemporary abstraction, each lesson will offer the individual student ideas to develop and implement in their own work. This class combines working from life and pulling from other sources such as photographs and paintings. Since this is a mixed-media class, students will be taught specific color-mixing techniques and will learn how to use color symbolically and strategically. This class will also help bridge gaps in art history and link them to application techniques used today.
