About this Class:

Workshop / 2 sessions / $150 / Room 200 / Sun 9am-3pm  / July 17-24

Lots of us use photographs when we paint. Some of us may even prefer to paint from photos in the controlled environment of the studio. But our photographs can exercise a certain tyranny over us, leading us to copy them rather than to create works of art inspired by them. In this 2-day workshop we will face the challenges of painting from photos. The focus will be on landscapes, cityscapes, and street scenes. Photographs will be supplied by the instructor; students will also be asked to bring their own.
