Explore the application of various techniques such as patination through liquid and heat application, enameling, using colored pencil, and acrylic paint to permanently and semi-permanently add color surfaces to copper, brass, and more. Although the primary focus of this course is on testing and creating examples of the techniques covered, students will be encouraged to synthesize their learning in the creation of one final work. Students registering for this class must be confident in torch soldering, sawing, and metal fabrication and understand and practice studio safety procedures.

Please come to class with closed-toed shoes and a sketchbook.
