HoMA is closed on the following days: New Year's, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Dec 13–15, and Christmas.
Special admission rates
- Children 18 years and under: Free
- Residents: Free on Family and Community Sundays and Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea on July 31.
- College students: Students currently enrolled at any Hawai‘i State University or College receive free admission upon presentation of a valid school ID.
- Military: Active duty military personnel stationed in Hawai’i receive Kamaʻāina rate admission.
- ROAM: HoMA partners with the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) to offer members up to two (2) reciprocal entry tickets to participating museums.
- Museums for All: HoMA is a proud partner with Museums for All, offering free admission and parking to SNAP beneficiaries upon presentation of their EBT cards.
- Hotel partners: Guests at participating O‘’ahu hotels receive one (1) complimentary admission upon presentation of their room key.

Parking
Parking is available behind the Honolulu Museum of Art School, 1111 Victoria Street. Card only for parking payment.
