Contemporary Landscape Painting

We will investigate landscape painting in oil paint through a contemporary lens. Learn how artists develop a relationship to their surroundings through their painting practice. Become familiar with the tools you need to plan a composition, build a color palette, and execute a finished work. Simplify complex shapes and spaces within a landscape. Become comfortable with landscape painting in the context of realism and semi abstraction.
