Join us for engaging weekly drawing lessons designed to help you improve your ability to approach any subject with confidence. During this eight-week class students will become familiar with the fundamentals of how to carefully observe visual information in three-dimensional space and translate it to a two-dimensional surface. Through weekly demonstrations and guided practice, students will learn how to use light and shadow to create drawings with form and space, use several measuring techniques to improve accuracy, and explore a variety of drawing materials. Lively discussions about best practices and masterworks by other artists, followed by plenty of time to draw will be routine. The interesting and challenging content of this course will be supported and enhanced by regular visits to view the museum's collection and special exhibitions.

Please note that there will be no class on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Registration for this class closes on Oct. 5.
