Become familiar with the mechanics and materials of drawing. Students use traditional materials such as pencils, charcoal, and pastels to learn about line, contour, gesture, and value. Emphasis is on building students’ confidence in their drawing ability. Includes visits to the museum’s galleries, where works from the permanent collection will provide inspiration, supplement in-class demonstrations, and support your growth throughout the course.
