Explore watercolor, which actually starts with drawing. Each session builds upon the previous week’s instruction. You’ll gain a good understanding of shapes, values, and color as they relate to this exciting medium. Various activities include learning the basics of the brush and palette, color mixing, and how to apply washes in monochrome and color. You’ll then move on to painting objects and still-life arrangements. Finally, we’ll have time for work with a live model. Lessons and demonstrations by the instructor will abound. Visits to the museum will provide inspiration, support demonstrations, and deepen students’ engagement with course content. All materials are included with tuition.

Registration for this class closes on June 28.
