Explore the essential elements of art related to drawing human figures in pictorial space. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the body’s underlying anatomical structure while exploring form, volume, movement, proportion, perspective, and light while drawing from a live model, both nude and clothed. Processes taught include gesture, contour line, and full-value drawing. Includes examples of masters’ drawings and sculptures from our Lending Collection to help inspire and educate students. All levels of experience are welcome.
