This class supports students with previous knowledge of ceramic processes in developing self-directed projects. The instructor will present advanced wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques with a focus on decorative techniques and glazing. Visits to view the museum’s collection and special exhibitions will provide inspiration and support course content. One bag of clay and all firings and glazes are included with tuition.

Please note that there will be no class on Nov. 29.

Registration for this class closes on Oct. 4.  

Prerequisites: Students registering for this class must have taken at least one course with teaching artist Forest Leonard, have a basic knowledge of wheel-throwing or hand-building, and a working understanding of the various stages of clay.
