On view in Gallery 14 is Kenyatta Kelechi: Laulima. This is your chance to have a unique experience with the artist. Gain greater insight into Kelechi’s work and have a hands-on experience with the 19th-century wet-plate collodion photographic process. Explore the exhibition with the artist, who will then guide you through the process of coating, exposing, and developing a light-sensitive plate of a still-life image that you create. Participants will work in pairs, so register with a friend or make a new one in class. Seeing the image you framed in the camera appear as if by magic should not be missed.

Limited seating available. Registration for this class closes on Nov 14.

Note: For those sensitive to odors, fumes from the chemicals used in the process should be expected. They are, however, safe and the outdoor location and fans provide appropriate ventilation.
