Tigerween: Portrait Painting Workshop

Join celebrated local artist, Lauren Hana Chai, whose artwork was on view at HoMA in 2023 and who is currently a Community Voice for the exhibition Home of the Tigers, for this one evening special portrait painting workshop. In this workshop, students will paint a portrait from a live model whose face will be painted on by Lauren in a manner inspired by Korean folk tiger art. This will give students an opportunity to practice portrait painting in a unique way as they will be encouraged to play with both 2D flat mark making and 3D form. Materials are included.
