Experience the creative joy of abstract, freeform weaving with a SAORI floor loom that is specially designed to empower all individuals to create expressive woven fabrics. This accessible approach to weaving is perfect for all levels of experience and abilities and offers students the opportunity to work spontaneously and experiment with materials. Students will learn many design techniques that allow for focused individual expression. Participants can expect to finish one or two small projects such as wall hangings or scarves. Visits to the museum will supplement demonstrations, provide inspiration, and support course content. Instruction will focus on beginners, however, those with experience are welcome to attend as review or to work on a self-directed project. Supplies are provided, but students may want to provide their own to support their individual creative vision.

Please note that there will be no class on Nov. 30.

Registration for this class closes on Oct. 5.
