This intermediate jewelry course builds upon fundamental jewelry and metalworking techniques. Visits to explore the museum's collection support lessons and provide inspiration for your work. Potential projects and skills include cold connections, roller mill embossing, original hand-made clasps, and more. This course is great for students who have taken Jewelry and Metalwork for Beginners at HoMA Art School or meet the prerequisites. Nonprecious metals are included with tuition. The studio is outfitted with the tools and equipment that you will need. Please come to class with closed-toe shoes, a sketchbook, and binder.

Please note that there will be no class on Nov. 28.

Registration for this class closes on Oct. 3. 
 
Prerequisites: Students should know basic metalworking and jewelry techniques such as sawing, piercing, filing, simple surface finishing, bracelet forming, and bezel stone setting.
