Harry Belafonte died in April 2023, just weeks after shooting wrapped for this documentary. Following Harry is an intimate portrait of the legendary singer and activist during the last twelve years of his life, as he embarks on a deeply personal and reflective journey, while inspiring the next generation of entertainers and activists to disrupt injustice across the globe. T Beginning with the killing of Trayvon Martin in 2012, the film takes viewers on a journey to Florida, Ferguson, Ghana, and, finally, Belafonte’s home in New York and features artist-activists such as Aja Monet, Aloe Blacc, and Jesse Williams.
