Jan-Mar: An Artistic Exchange Case Study: Blue & White Ceramics

Have you ever wondered how artworks originating from vastly different regions of the world can appear so similar to each other? This Collection in Context tour travels across the galleries studying works in HoMA's permanent collection from around the globe to unveil intersections in time and geography that gave way to the well-known trend of blue and white ceramics. Spend time exploring various cultures through art, and the dialogue between them, and join us in considering the fluid nature of artistic concepts.

Gather at the main entrance for a 45- to 60-minute tour.

This tour will be visiting galleries 17, 26, 11, 5.

Tours are free to join with museum admission.

Subject to group size restrictions and gallery occupancy limits. Due to unpredictable COVID conditions, tours are subject to last-minute cancellation.
