The Honolulu Museum of Art invites Visionary members and above to the exclusive opening reception for Hawai‘i Triennial 2025: ALOHA NŌ. HoMA is one of 13 sites of exhibition and programming for the Triennial.

On view at the museum is the work of eight artists whose practices emerge variously from Indigenous heritages and strong matrilineal connections—Edith Amituanai, Teresita Fernández, Hayv Kahraman, Al Lagunero, Gisela McDaniel, Citra Sasmita, Rose B. Simpson, and Kanitha Tith.

The Triennial features forty-nine remarkable artists and collectives from Hawai‘i, the Pacific, and beyond. The theme ALOHA NŌ invites us all to [re]consider our notions and preconceptions of aloha. It is a call for deeper understanding of love, solidarity, care, and transformation.
