“Along the seacoast below the slopes of Maui’s Haleakalā lie masses of broken lava said to be the remnants of a terrifying battle between Pele, goddess of fire, and her sister Nāmakaokaha‘i, goddess of the sea…”

This program dedicated to Pele includes Na Iwi o Pele by internationally recognized composer and University of Hawai‘i professor Donald Reid Womack.
