Expert Insights: HoMA’s Japanese Art Collection

Noted scholar Dr. Janice Katz, curator of Japanese art at the Art Institute of Chicago, talks about the modern paintings and decorative artwork from the Taishō period (1912–1926) on view in HoMA’s Atsuhiko & Ina Goodwin Tateuchi Japan Gallery. The Art Institute of Chicago and HoMA both have world-renowned collections of Japanese art and Katz will also offer special insights about the formation of and links between the two collections.
