As the centerpiece to our 11th annual Bollywood Film Festival, Aaja Nachle Hawaii pays homage to the women who have powerfully shaped Bollywood over the years. The performance pieces explore the essence of what it means to be a woman through celebrating her strength, love, enchantment, divinity, and joy.

Founded in 2012, Aaja Nachle—which in Hindi means "Come, let's dance!"—is Hawaii's only Bollywood dance company. Known for their infectiously joyful and energetic performances, they choreograph Bollywood film songs, South Asian classical and folk dances, and collaborative fusion pieces bringing together elements from a variety of styles and cultures. They love to inspire people to dance with them through workshops, open dance practices, and community gatherings. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram to stay tuned!
