Remembering David Lynch

“The art life is a great life.”

This past January, the world lost one of cinema’s greats. A singular visionary who inspired an adjective, David Lynch produced a body of work that has had a lasting influence on artists in various mediums. And yet, a film that is “Lynchian” doesn’t quite hit the same as one “directed by David Lynch.”  
 
In celebration of the late, great filmmaker, the Doris Duke Theatre presents eight features and a collection of six shorts directed by David Lynch, as well as the 2016 documentary David Lynch: The Art Life. 
 
Content consideration: Lynch’s films dive into dark subjects that may not be appropriate for younger audiences and those faint of heart. 

  • Dune (1984)
