What’s new at the HoMA Shop
The HoMA Shop is Honolulu’s one-stop spot for meaningful gifts and must-haves for yourself. From contemporary jewelry and home design to art books and accessories, it has something for everyone. It is also the place to find works by Hawai‘i artists and artisans. Here is a selection of new spring items designed to help you find your moment of zen.
The shop’s local artist spotlight is currently on master potter Ed Higa. His ceramic sculptures and vessels are high-fired in a reduction atmosphere, creating a unique glazing effect (left to right: $1,380, $1,250, $700).
From incense holders to breezy jackets, the shop is where you can discover your signature look. Pictured clockwise from top:
- Floral kimono jackets handmade in India will wrap you in a silky hug ($72).
- Ed Higa’s round vessel is glazed in a mesmerizing purple haze ($1,250).
- This incense stand—an elegant hand holding a lotus blossom—is part of the shop’s collection of porcelain Guanyin objects ($102.50). Just what you need after viewing the 11th-century Guanyin statue in the Buddhism Gallery.
