‘Ihilani Lasconia (aka Inalhi)

This Kanaka ʻŌiwi student, artist, and organizer from Waimānalo, Oʻahu, focuses on political issues in Hawai‘i, especially Hawaiian sovereignty. They are currently studying political science at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa with the hopes of bringing indigenous knowledge to the forefront of Hawai‘i’s education system. ‘Ihilani believes that hip-hop is a powerful teaching tool that can equip anyone with the ability to express themselves and better understand the world around them.
