Educators
Education has always been an integral part of the Honolulu Museum of Art’s mission. Working closely with educators and schools, we provide resources and experiences to make visual art a foundational element of learning.
Virtual field trips
HoMA now offers digital virtual field trips! We invite students to engage in art, through our digital resources, by seeing, making, and talking about art!
Student visits
Small groups of students with educators or individual students may visit the museum for free on class assignments.
HoMA Art Packs
For a limited time, teachers can request a free HoMA Art Pack stocked with supplies to make art with their students.
HoMA Hands-On Lending Boxes
Support your digital virtual field trip with curated, theme-specific objects from our Lending Collection.
Lending Collection
The Lending Collection includes objects that are historically, culturally, and artistically significant that can be used to support lessons in classrooms.
Educator workshops
Educator workshops explore different ways to incorporate HoMA’s resources into the classroom. Serving as an open forum, these workshops facilitate a dialogue between educators and Museum staff, with an emphasis on integrating the arts into K–12 curricula.
