The Honolulu Museum of Art Archives collects, preserves, and provides access to the institutional records of the museum, including the professional papers of museum staff and trustees and the institutional records of The Contemporary Museum and Spalding House.

The Archives supports the museum’s mission to create relevant and transformative experiences through the study, preservation, presentation and creation of art by connecting researchers with resources to help further their exploration of the museum, its collections, and its communities.

The Archives is open by appointment only.
